Let our Chicagoland Lab Rescue family of volunteers assist you in finding the perfect match for your family's lifestyle.
The first step is to fill out the Adoption Application on this page. As you browse the adoptable labs, we will process your application and be in touch very soon.
The next step includes a visit to your home by one of our volunteers with a lab. This is very important to help ensure that all questions are answered and that we both agree that adopting a lab from CLR is a good fit.
Assuming we both agree that a lab for CLR is appropriate, our placement coordinator will help you meet a lab that best fits you criteria. All of our labs are housed in foster homes. Potential adopters learn about the lab from the foster and eventually go to the foster home to meet the lab and complete the adoption right there if appropriate.
Our goal is for a successful and smooth adoption. Achieving the best fit may take a little while, but we think you'all agree that it is worth it.

We know most people are eager to find a dog as quickly as possible once they make the decision to adopt. Since this is meant to be a lifelong addition to a family, we believe that a little extra care and sometimes a little extra time will ensure a sucessful match that will give everyone, including the dog, their "happy ever after".
